An Ode to Earth - Earth Song by Orna Ralston

Let’s be honest first. Earth cannot be captured in a video. Not in this video, not in any video. You can make a zillion videos of Earth. But each time it should be a humbling experience. Because always – if only you look – there’s so much more to see.

Here we just want to share one thing: the fact that if you step away from the human perspective – the human world, the urban society, the global economy – there are at least 1 trillion other perspectives on Earth, because that is the estimated number of non-human species around us. Again, a humbling thought. You can marvel at any landscape, you can find our common ancestors in any backyard.

Travelling through these perspectives is something that helps us to reconnect with our natural world, our cradle, and ultimately our grave. It helps us to care and to take care. And to us it is the biggest joy there is – the joy of Life on Earth.
